I figured this would be a fun thread to start. Just share what you've been listening to!

John Zorn - The Last Supper, Filmworks Vol.22
Mike Patton - Crank 2 score
Eric Vain - Songs From the Hymnographer

Last night I listened to the Paul D. Lehrman/University of Massachussetts at Lowell recording of Antheil's Ballet Mecanique, and then Fripp & Eno's No Pussyfooting.

Today I worked 14 hours in the studio so I listened to whatever the hell it was I just spent 14 hours working on.

Hayden playing a live CBC session. Go to newmusiccanada.com and search. It's good and I don't even really like Hayden.

One of my favorites!

I've been listening to the stuff I bought at Other Music in NYC last week:

Petra Haden Sings The Who Sell Out
Steve Swallow- The Real Book

and other stuff:
ZZ Top- Tres Hombres
Son Volt- Trace
Mitch Easter- Dynamico

I bought the new Grizzly Bear album, but haven't checked it out yet.

I've been on a kick strange kick that I remember being on about five years ago. It would be interesting to try to track these cycles...

Bowie - Hunky Dory
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Portishead - Live in NYC
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

as far as new stuff - I still can't go more than a week without popping in Bill Callahan's new one.

Hall and Oates complete greatest hits. Mostly disc one, which is there 70's stuff. Getting pumped up for the show on September 9th. Man they had some sweet jams, hopefully they still got it!
Also the new Grizzly Bear, which I think is amazing. And the last Whitest Boy Alive record.

I was out scraping my house for painting today. So, I picked some music that I thought would keep me working and the neighbors wouldn't hate too much.

I listened to CD's on Boombox.

Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues (I had 80's painting flashbacks to this one. I know they're not considered a funk band, but they should be.)
The Equators - New Edition of Hot (Does anyone have a guess how they got the guitar tone during the brief guitar solo on "Rescue Me"? Obviously there's wah involved. I love that sound.)
Antibalas - Talkatif (I wish they weren't so Fela reverential.)
Praxis - Transmutation (I wish I could play guitar like BucketHead.)
