Why are there so few free VST plugs for Mac osx?

It seems like all the great free vst's are for pc.
My fave is one called epicverb [amazing reverb!]
I'd even pay for that one for MAC
Is it harder to program for osx???

No. It is not harder, just different. And you do have to have a Mac to test the plug ins...

Most of the Mac OSX plug ins are in Audio Units.

Not a lot of programmers who have been making VST plug ins want to or desire to learn how to port them into this format, even though it has now been around for 8 or more years.

You haven't spent countless hours data-mining what's out there. I've got several hundred. They are there, you need to seek them out!
