I have a pair of Altec 1593b's and have been thinking about running them with a vintage pair of JBl monitors that I have. was curious if anyone has any experience with these and what they think.

they sound great. enjoy.
Solid state. 50 watts, right?
They really sound good if they are in good shape. You may need to re-cap them.
900 rack spaces for 2 channels = EFFICIENT! Wink

I've got one in the rack that gets regular use driving the reverb chamber or mono headphone mixes. No complaints. I think it sounds great.

They look cool anyways! I just got an Altec 9444b and it seems to sound fine running my monitors. The build quality is really good, I know that. I like older stuff better most of the time, it just seems more robustly built for the most part. Of course, I can't afford anything new that's actually super nice so... haha.
