FS: A NOS Beyer M500 Classic Ribbon Microphone--SOLD

Post by tonewoods » Sun Apr 10, 2011 10:24 am

Hi all...

Up for sale is a Beyerdynamic M500 Classic ribbon microphone, unopened in the original box....

Beyer only made a thousand, and this is #477.....

I love these mics for a whole gob of things--vocals, fiddles, toy pianos, and their hypercardioid pattern makes them an ideal choice for tracking live bands....

Stored in a dry environment since the day I bought them back in the 90's...

550.00, which is what they listed for back in the 90's....

Comes in the beautiful mahogany box, and certificate with the serial number....
Here's some pics of mine, #558:

Would consider a trade for an M88 Classic that they released at the same time as this reissue...
Always wanted one of those...

Or a Groove Tubes ribbon mic....

Thanks!

I love them as overheads (dip a little at 3k) while tracking a whole band in the room with no gobos or headphones. People don't know them.. they were Frank Sinatras favorite vocal mics.

These are great mics! I have a few already and would buy these if cash was more available. Bruce (tonewoods)...it was great bumping into you again on here...small world! Tonewoods is as solid a guy as they come folks...very well trusted e-buyer/e-seller! Someone is going to get a great deal!
Working on music with Pete from Porno for Pyros...
