After the Gold Rush. Maybe not as acoustic-ey as Harvest, but it's definitely a solid release. I really dig Zuma as well.

Anyone have a copy of Trans?

Decade is a compilation album that's great. I also really liked his live, Unplugged album.

i've also thought about decade, but i figure why start with a best of, then get the albums, then not need the best of? (i've gone down this road before).

Harvest is pretty unique, like all of Neil's albums. Check out Everybody Knows This is Nowhere. It's great! Comes a Time is really good, too, a little more like Harvest. Buffalo Springfield is really good, and Helpless-era CSNY.

for me the peak is zuma and tonites the night.

buy them together. start with zuma and listen to them straight together while hanging out on a porch drinking beer.

great for a sort of melancholy mood.

I was actually hanging out on the porch drinking beer a week or two ago, and we listened to After the Gold Rush.

oh and the conference was great!

You should definitely add Unplugged to your collection. It's kind of like a best-of, but much cooler. I'd also suggest Everybody Knows this is Nowhere.

Everybody Knows This is Nowhere. One of my favorites. Outside of amazing songs. It's in my top three recording wise...yes indeed.
