It's annoying, as I am highly unintelligent and need at least two tries to get my search right. _________________ ___________________________________

Probably to reduce the load on the system. Search uses a lot of processor and disk. So they enforce a wait to keep a lid on the maximum number of searches per second from the whole board.
Remember its not just you searching... |

I figured that, but no other site I've used does that.
