Hey Stylus,

15 years ago??!!??!!??

Unless you have a hidden camera picture, I think you're beyond the confrontation/get it back point now... Heck, probably beyond the statute of limitations or even a lawsuit. But dang, you've got my mind working overtime; I guess I'm no Sherlock Holmes (as played by RD, jr.).

Joel-- Methinks the mountain man doth protest too much. Did you ever play a game of clue, where you turn out to be the guilty suspect?

How did you "discover" this 15 years after the fact?

It happened a decade and a half ago.

Let it go. Maybe that person's changed since then, maybe he hasn't . You're fortunate enough not to have ever had to deal with him again and that what he did to you - as near as you can notice 15 years later - hasn't affected your life to the point that it's come to your attention.

If that's just to hard to do, then get in touch with the guy and ask him if he did it. Maybe he's had a change of heart and will cop to it and make things right. If not, drop it.

Seriously. This is 1997 we're talking about. In that time, thousands of people have committed far worse crimes, been tried, done time and gotten out of prison for what they've done.

15 years! 1997! Before Windows 98, the Digidesign 001, the BlackBerry, Y2k, Napster, 9/11, two George W. Bush Presidential terms, and iPods. And I've stopped at 2003.

Dude, it's a fucking microphone! Get over it already.

His mom kicked you out of a band because you didn't want to be famous? And now you have to hear their material on the radio? Sounds like they were famous - lucky for you she kicked you out. Imagine how bitter you'd be if you were famous.

Yeah, sounds like the OP is more upset about the alleged thief's success than the alleged theft.

Mindfulness Therapy, with roots in Zen Buddhism might actually go a long way towards "curing" this. I'm serious. You need to live in the moment, not rehashing 15 year old "roads not taken." Or at least a decade closer to this fucking moment. Holy shit, I thought I was bad in terms of holding resentment.
