AVATARS...

Post by DUC » Mon Jun 02, 2003 12:01 pm

Where can I get some good ones? I was looking for a Bill Murray, but none whatsoever. Maybe some music related ones.

I found this place, doesn't have everything, but you might find something you like.

If anyone can make me a Bill Murray Avatar and tell me how to post it on the web, I'd appreciate it a bunch.

Yes, I am a dumbass. How do I post an avatar that I made at home? Do I need my own webspace? How do I get some? Etc.

use whichever one you like, save the rest on your comp or whatever so i can delete off my server ;) but yea, in order to use your own webspace, you either should sign up for a host (preferably not a free one, or if you do get a free one, MAKE SURE they allow "hotlinking" or "image linking" which means it allows you to post your avatar)... also check with your ISP, they may be providing you with free webspace along with your internet account, because a lot of them do.

anyway, hope you enjoy them. bill murray is hilarious isn't he

yes, very wrong.

you are stealing someone else bandwidth which you are not paying for! Especially in a forum like this where 100's of pages are served every second, the bandwidth bill will add up!
It's not too hard to get free space on the web, but remember that you have to have a service that allows hyperlinking or you'll get a picture that is white and has "blahblah.com does ont allow hyperlinking."

seriously though, it's extremely rude to link an avatar to someone elses account!
and it's stealing.
