i think this was the best album of 2011.

Friends of mine here in Philly. Jeff Zeigler did a bunch of stuff for that record at Uniform Recording here in Philly, Adam recorded a bunch at home, in Texas, Asheville, NC...I've actually talked to Jeff Zeigler about interviewing him for TapeOp Mag a year back. He'd be into it. I'll see him tomorrow night when he gets back from running live sound for Kurt Vile.

I am SO SO happy that The War on Drugs are getting the recognition that they deserve. I've been a fan of theirs for the past 4 years after a friend brought their first full-length over. Adam has just grown by leaps and bounds as a songwriter these past few years, and this incarnation of the band is definitely the sickest yet. Totally hilarious and great dudes who just love playing music.
