I never touch my speakers. Someone a long time ago told me touching them would kill em and that put the fear in me.

I'll do it when I'm phase checking sometimes because I can't hear super low stuff in my listening space. But I make super sure no one is around first.

I have to admit that sometimes I touch the passive radiator on my sub when doing a mix or eq'ing, but that doesn't have a voice coil to knock out of alignment.

My NS-10s have a slightly dirty spot on the bottom of the cone where Jeff Stuart Saltzman has put his fingers on them over the years. I always think of him when I see that spot!

People did put their fingertips on the white cones of the NS10 for a long time, because they weren't very true to the lowend that hid in the signal. It feels different with a closed cab vs. a tuned port.
