Aphex Dual Tube Preamp

Post by Dylan W » Thu Jul 10, 2014 9:17 am

Aphex 107 Tubessence mic pre for sale.

Has been in regular use here as a pair of extra channels. Very solid sounding dual mic pre, unbeatable for the price.

Minor rack wear, works great. Includes power supply.

I just want to add that despite the price these aren't bad preamps at all. And, I'm pretty sure there's an internal trim pot to get some more "tube" sound. $65 for a pair of utility preamps is a good deal. They're also light so they won't add much weight to a portable setup.

Ok, they're not Neves or V72s but I'd use them. Aphex makes some good stuff.

I had these same press for awhile. If I had to think of one negative is the name. "Tubeessence"? Too close to tumescence.

$65 is a good deal. Give Dylan some dough!
