Hi guys,i've been lately enjoying the technique of running my guitars into the board and overdriving the preamp, then running into the tape machine..I would love some feedback from my TapeOp brothers and sisters! Here's a little video..

I don't want to seem melodramatic but I'm speechless.
Beautiful track, awesome vibe, the kind of thing I'd love to buy to be honest with you. A sound that I don't hear much of these days - sort of a rockin CSN, if I may.
The Gretsch sounds fantastic. Inspires me to break out my '62 Harmony Meteor and feature it in a tune.
Anyway, great post. BTW, I do use an old tube driven RTR to track electrics with from time to time for this exact same reason. It's an inimitable sound IMO.
P.S. - is that a Martin OM acoustic? _________________ "The mushroom states its own position very clearly. It says, "I require the nervous system of a mammal. Do you have one handy?" Terrence McKenna |

great sounds. Looks like you have a tascam ms16 with the dbx noise reduction. Do you use the noise reduction or is there no choice to shut it off? I have a tascam ms16 running at 30 ips with no dbx noise reduction. I'm curious _________________ "like a dog without a bone... Hector Alamo... riders on the storm, yeah..." |

Hector,the machine is actually an ATR-60. I never use the DBX because it's pretty friggin' terrible.Otherwise it's really a great recorder.,It replaced my 3M M79 2". _________________ eric lichter |

Nice work.
Using a You Tube video to promote your services like this is a great idea.
I only wish I had an ATR-60 myself! |
