Cool! I'll have to watch the whole thing when there's time.
I met Jian Gomeshi years ago, when he was the guitarist for Moxy Fruvous.
Cool guy.

Neil mentions the Black Dub project, which is totally a reason to want to work with Lanois I think.
Even if you totally disregard the mondo huge success he's had with most of what he touches, Black Dub is one of the most inspiring little groups I've ever heard. That shit makes me wanna get up and scream. _________________ "The mushroom states its own position very clearly. It says, "I require the nervous system of a mammal. Do you have one handy?" I also love Black Dub, but I gotta say, the youtube "in the studio" stuff blows me away even more.
Check out this and this.
The girl singer, BTW, is Chris Whitley's (RIP) daughter. I eagerly wait her solo debut because of stuff like this (same song w/ guitar live) and this (piano, live). Or, try this and this, etc. (the whiskey does it for me!)
Disclaimer: I correspond with Dan Whitley, her uncle, regularly, and am a great admirer of his music, also. _________________ vlayman; THD; blog; TFP |

Yeah, the "in studio" stuff is so much fun to watch.
Trixie Whitley is an authentic bad-ass. _________________ "The mushroom states its own position very clearly. It says, "I require the nervous system of a mammal. Do you have one handy?" Terrence McKenna |
