I'm a little embarassed, but She&Him Vol. II

Not much of a fan for the actual songs, but the sound of this album is just perfect to me. That clean electric guitar, and her vocals sound huuuuuge. I also love the soft acoustic guitar when Matt is playing, like on "Me & You." It sounds like a throwback sound, but yet way more "hifi" and clear. But anything Matt touches is basically gold , so I'm not surprised. Didn't Mike Mogis mix some of it, too? I don't know. Anyways, I know it's kind of gross, but does anyone else have anything nice to say about this record?

Nothing to be embarassed about...

Is it me, or does she sound a little (or a lot) like Nancy Sinatra?

Ya, I can hear it in her voice a little bit. Never noticed before. Nice.

Don't be embarrassed, I have VOL 1 and think its great. It's a cool "throwback" nod sonically that works well for the band.
