I find it funny that a Seattle radio station sponsors a performance of an Austin band at an Austin business during SXSW (in Austin)... but yeah, it's rockin good stuff.

And doya recognize the Latino singer?

I was actually into these guys when they started, but that's Alejandro Escovedo -I'm a fan, have alla his records.

There's some footage around of him in his cover band Buick McKane with Joe Eddy Hines, also.

yeah, there's a pretty recent episode of Austin City Limits too you may want to see (if you haven't seen it yet).

3604 Alejandro Escovedo / Trombone Shorty (from the 2011/2012 season)

Yeah - that was a good one.

Two weeks ago, I think, Live From The Artist's Den had Soundgarden.

I love those short concert kindsa shows.

I saw Alejandro earlier this year and 30 people were in attendance (500 capacity venue) so I really admire his drive...to be at it for decades and accomplish so much critically but never really break out nationally. But, from what I understand he's a cult star Texas.

Gotta respect him for playing that show!

The lack of national breakout is especially depressing when you look at the so high quality of his writings, performances, the fact that Tony Visconti produces him, past collabs with Ian Hunter and Bruce Springsteen, etc.
