Tape Op #97 Article: Guiding The New Music Business feedback

Post by PhospheneProductions » Mon Oct 14, 2013 2:11 pm

Greetings fellow Tape Ops!

I was presently surprised to read this months magazine and find the Jesse Cannon article. Being in Austin (Texas) I have had the great fortune to work with many talented artists that are still very fresh on the scene and still learning the ropes as to how to be successful in the music industry. I found allot of great information and references I will definitely be informing my future (and past) clients about.

I found the advice Jesse was giving about choosing a producer for your bands project was spot on. Far too often i find bands with producers helping them that just have no business working with that particular band (allot of the time its a band members friend or friends, friend :P). Overall solid advice, find a producer that fills in the blanks!

Great stuff, keep it coming!
Cheers!~
