DOOM.

Excited about this one. Tracked by myself at Black Dog Studios in Stillwater, NY, mixed by Scott Evans at Antisleep Audio, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.

I hope this isn't a big insult in the Doom world, but I find that track much more listenable than most stuff I've heard in that genre. I like heavy shit, but doom isn't my scene. The low end is impressive.

Any idea where I can get physical copies from this band? Jeff Andrews was in the local scene around Nashville, Tennessee.

Here's a link for an old band of his. He's on vocals.

so f'ing thick and heavy. What amps were used for the guitars on this one? Such solid and clear low/low-mid range in those guitars. Well done sir.

Oh man, I'll have to let Jeff know you showed me this. haha.

The release date is 6/24. CD release show is 6/28, so I would say sometime around there. I can put you in touch with them if you want. Just shoot me a PM.

The regular guitar was JCM800, Marshall straight 4/12.

8-string bass/guitar thing was a Matamp (no clue what the model is) through an Emperor 6x12.

Bass was Ampeg V9, Ampeg 8x10.

Thanks! credit to Scott Evans that mixed it too. He took some really nice sounding raw tracks and added that special sauce to put it all over the edge.

Pretty boring musically, but sounds really good. Reminds me of Old Man Gloom.
