Surf rock home recording...

Post by Recycled_Brains » Fri Aug 01, 2014 9:25 am

Some good friends of mine asked me to record their awesome surf rock band. All done in their home in the country. Came out pretty cool. No mastering. I tried my best to not get too heavy handed with anything since it was all live takes.

very nice! sounds great!

I do love the psychedelic surf rock thing too (as evidenced by my own project -- http://mikeandthemeteors.bandcamp.com).

We need a surf revival tour!

thanks guys!

It was a fun project. They are some of my favorite humans (I live with one of them), and very talented players. Always fun to work with them.

The bassist and one guitar player are married, and have a band called Charmboy that rules too (also recorded and mixed by myself a while back), if you're into 70s hard rock/power trio stuff.

Cool stuff!

If you're ever touring out near upstate NY, you should get in touch with those dudes.
