It certainly seems like "word clock" cables are just overpriced 75 ohm coaxial with BNC connectors. If you want an affordable cable that is labelled "word clock", buy Hosa cables - should be available at Guitar Center and definitely online. Looks like on some forums the big concern is connector quality.
Also, having messed around with clocking and word clock, I gotta go with kslight and recommend you try to clock it all over ADAT if you can make it work.

There was a time that I was synching interfaces with a short piece of solid-core 18 ga wire, and an alligator wire. The 18 ga was just stripped and stuffed in the hole of the connector, with the alligator to join the grounds. But the interfaces were maybe 6" apart...

Hi crandallwarren,
I am sure you can do the clocking through the ADAT lightpipe. Use two wires, to ensure they can talk to each other both ways.
There is no interference when using this method, as it is using LIGHT, not voltage,
and it has plenty of bandwidth to cover any need you may have.
Just make sure to follow instructions for both devices, and test it out before committing to a recording that is essential.
Cheers

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.
