Youtube videos with help

Post by Chuck Cheesman » Tue Nov 18, 2014 8:06 pm

I wanted to make a new album this year, but life got in the way. I scaled back my aspirations a bit and decided to have a go at doing some solo/acoustic Youtube videos.

It strikes me that the declining CD market means that studios are going to need to find other ways to bring in clients. I used two different studios here in Portland and an aspiring filmmaker to do four videos. Nothing too fancy. We mixed the tracks immediately after recording while the video guy packed up his stuff. It was a nice way to work, though not without some challenges. I'll likely have to go back to making some of my own videos in my home studio. But I plan to do this again, and I might use it as a way to audition studios when I finally get to making that next CD.
.
Anyway, here are four Youtube videos:

David Hedberg is the video guy, and I know he is looking to do more of this.

The first two were recorded by Daniel Rosenberg (SoundbyDaniel).

The next two were recorded with John Neff. Both of these are pretty mellow, socially-conscious original tunes.

Thanks for watching/listening.
