DIY Monitor Controller
Just knocked up this little bad boy. Fully passive controller based around a nice Alps potentiometer. 3 in, 3 out. VU meters too.

Nice job!
Nick:
Very classy look. Just wondering: no phase reverse along with the stereo/mono? and no provision to switch a sub-woofer in/out? What are you driving the VU meters with?
I built something similar, but does not look as pro as yours...nice job!

This 'Jim' isn't into THD either but the 'straight-wire' monitor controller I built (similar to Nick's) sounds pretty good. Sure I lose a few dB but I have gain to spare in my monitoring chain. My wiring is short and high quality, so capacitance isn't much of an issue either. But, FWIW, I would definitely use an op amp buffer/driver if I was integrating VU metersThe Scum wrote:But Jim, haven't you heard? Opamps are the devil, and THD is good!
To the OP: Can you share a schematic and/or internal shots?
