source for ampex 440b meter lamps

Post by I'm Painting Again » Wed Feb 25, 2015 12:04 pm

the slyvania 24v bulbs wired in series that illuminate the dixon meter on the Ag-440B

I see some things that look promising online but I want to double check with folks because they have to be a specific size to fit in the clamps there..

direct replacements are probably out of production for decades

this is the closest i could find in production today

One can swap out bulbs to white LED's if you add a 1n4002 rectifier diode and a 1k resistor in series. Then you never need to worry about that again.

The previous statement is from a guy who records his own, and other projects for fun. No money is made.
