don't mean to hijack the thread but curious if you guys feel these sites help your business a lot even when only 15% of your "likers" will see the posts etc... ?

I actually just started my studio/site, but I hope so! Figure there is enough happening on there it's gotta help somewhat.
Is that a real stat? Only 15% actually see the posts?

i am not trying to suggest that there's no value in having a facebook presence - just curious if it's less meaningful than other social mediums...

i am also curious how @cowboytechnical got "music production" as the title on his page... i can't seem to find that one :D

Totally agree. Though, I imagine some people land on the website, and click over to the FB page to look for pictures and more recent news.

While logged in, if you go to your page's "About" tab, you can view/edit info. Look for the Subcategories field. When I set up the page, I believe "Music Production" was the closest available choice to audio mastering.

frustrating - i don't get that option.

i see 2 fields - the Main category and a subcategory - i have looked through all and cannot see "music production" anywhere.

I choose "local business" as my main category and "professional services" as the sub - which is lame - but the closest i could find.

there is a music category but no option there for production or recording - just labels, bands, artists etc...
