Bang for the Buck USB Stereo ADC

Post by Snarl 12/8 » Mon Dec 07, 2015 10:31 am

Hi,

I want to pick up a little dongley thing to get 4-track analog mix-downs into a laptop. The quality doesn't need to exceed the fidelity of the 4-track. Going into a windows 8 machine. Driverless and USB powered would be really nice. This laptop doesn't have analog input, or I'd just use that.

Any suggestions would be cool. It's mostly for my daughter who just made her first 4-track recording.

Does anyone think the Art Phono Plus is my best bet?

Or does anyone know of something similar with 24 bit and other better specs for similar money?

Thanks,

I really like the M-Audio M-Track II + I got on sale at US$100.00

The plain M-Track II is cheaper, mebbe US$80 at Clamazon ...

I use it as a soundcard for playback from my laptops (yep, I bought 2), but I've tested it as a input pre and it works well, comes with Cakewalk LE.
bandcamp;

I mix with olive juice.
