I have an 18" driver that sees a lot of use. When I got it (used) it needed a new dustcap, I got a 4" one from Simply Speakers or Speaker Repair, which came with a tube of adhesive, that was maybe 10 years ago. Last week it started farting and buzzing, took off the grille today and the dustcap was loose in one spot.
Can I just run an adhesive bead on it, and let it run in? What adhesive? Superglue seems like it would run into the gap nicely, but I don't know if it will flex enough?

Nevermind. When I went to fix it, using little sticks to hold the cap up, turns out it was loose more than half way around, so I carefully removed it with an Xacto knife, and will reaffix it with the same glue.
Well actually, I'm going to play the one gig with the dustcap off, first.
