Pioneer SR-202 spring reverb

Post by mjt335 » Thu Jan 28, 2016 11:19 am

Anyone have experience with one of these? I've been searching for a cheap old spring and this fits the bill. Sounds ok on YouTube demos and gets decent reviews for what it is.

Anyone ever use one with a 388?

I have one. I like it a lot, and it sounds great when you want that sound. Cool to look at, too...

Cool. Thanks, Gregg.

I put an offer out on it on Reverb so we'll see! Right now I'm just using a Holy Grail nano in the Aux or Fx loop, so anything with a real spring ought to be somewhat of an upgrade.

It's got a pretty hefty spring, too. Hope you get it!

Thanks, Gregg! I got the unit but the seller is on tour in Europe for a couple weeks so I won't have it until mid-February. Really looking forward to it though!

Finally got my SR-202. It's cool, I'm really liking it so far as I begin to experiment.

Unfortunately, the lights are out on the front... I kind of want to fix that! Any idea how to troubleshoot or replace the bulbs in there? I didn't find anything online yet but going to dig a little deeper. I'll open it up when I get time too, but right now I'm too busy messing the the sounds in the limited time that I have.
