A question for people who have used one of the Little Dipper notch filters. I am out of the box and wondering if this would be a useful unit for removing tape hiss?
Any other OTB suggestions for doing this would be appreciated! Thank you!

the 565 is great for really surgical EQing. It would probably be pretty decent taking out tape hiss but might take out lots of other stuff you don't want to remove. With tape, the best solutions happen pre-playback. Tape type, biasing, levels and noise reduction are the best tools for the job.
That said, I have no idea what you're application is or what you're up against but keep in mind that the 565 is a mono so you'd need as many units as you have tape tracks.
