Ampeg SVT VR in NYC - $1,300

Up for sale is well cared for Ampeg SVT-VR bass amp. This amp has seen two weeks on the road maximum and has mostly lived in my smoke free rehearsal space. I'm going to be doing some more extensive touring over the next few months and the VR is a bit too powerful for my needs. I'm letting it go in order to pick up a smaller rig.

My VR is in excellent condition and is quite possibly the most solidly built and reliable bass head on the market. I would trust this amp without a backup. Cosmetically it's in great shape. No tears in the tolex or scrapes on the case.

The sound of this amp is pure vintage tube warmth. It saturates nicely at higher gain settings and I find the EQ to be a nice broad strokes tool for sculpting the tone. It can do modern rock to dub reggae to soul and R&B. Versatile as well as classic.
