Need help from someone who is using an ART TPS II
Hiya guys,
I've just bought an ART TPS II 2 channel tube preamp but it is missing the variable voicing knobs.
This means I have absolutely no idea where the voicing filter is set.
I've noticed that there's a flat notch/surface on the knob stub (it is not entirely cylindrical) which I assume would be where the knob white line would also point at, but I need some input from someone who has the unit and can pull one out to confirm or advice otherwise.
Thank you very much!

I'd be willing to bet the other knobs are interchangeable and have the same shaft style (Gain, Impedance, output). Just use one to check it and see if the "V3" voicings" jive with the labels.
Barring that, maybe send pink noise into it and measure the output? When it's flat (or very close) - that is likely the "Flat" setting (I'm betting the "Flat Spot/Notch" at noon correlates to the pointer being at noon - so the "Flat" voicing is likely with the flat spot/notch at 6 o'clock)...

I just went and checked mine. The flat spot is opposite the pointer, so opposite of what you have in your last illustration.feelnofrets wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 2:18 pmHiya guys,

The pointer is opposite the flat spot. So, opposite of what's in your last illustration.
