I'm working on a podcast at the moment (which is a bit outside my regular work world). It's more or less a radio drama with 10-12 actors, score music, sound effects and the whole deal. Things are going well but I'm approaching final mix time and wondering if there is a standard for levels for this type of thing. I'm aiming to average at -18 for most of the mix and then plan to bump it up with a mastering limiter for the final output.
Does this sound reasonable? Any suggestions for levels?
