FS: Otari MTR-10, SVT, Synth Gear, Rack Delays... AND MORE!

Trying to help a friend sell: http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq299/TheMilford/SVT.jpg Ampeg SVT Late 60s or early 70s Magnavox era. Powers up and is functional... but like most 40+ year-old amps it will need TLC regardless... I plan to do some checking/testing if somebody here is interested. Not...

WTB: Oberheim synth

Looking for a deal on an Oberheim. What you got?

Matrix 6, 6r or 1000 would be most in my price range... but you never know ;)

I would also be interested in broken stuff too... maybe a broken OB-X or SEM?

Cheers,
David

I like Ultura:

oh and I would use "Xfrmr" instead of "transfrmr"... it's shorter.

or you could use the electronic symbol:

I don't mean I would use it alone... I would use it for smaller sessions with my mac when I only need two channels and not 10-12 channels.

Has anybody used it with DP?

My thinking is this... If I can use the Konnect 8 to get 2 more channels (it has SPDIF) that would be great for $300. But it also can be used by it self if I just need 2 channels for a smaller session.

But I just don't know how well they will play together.

Motu 828 MKII with T.C. Konnekt 8... or something else?

I'm maxed out for analog channels with my 828mkII. I'm eyeing the TC konnect 8 to add two good quality channels for cheap. How would I use them in tandem; SPDIF, ADAT, Firewire? I'm kinda new to this. Or... is there a better device for be to add more channels for roughly the same amount $$? I don't ...

I ordered a pair of the M179s and an RNP (which can supply up to 28mA phantom supply current).

I'm going to try these as a "front-of-kit" stereo pair as X/Y, Blumlein, or M/S at our next recording session...

I'm now leaning toward the M179... seems like it'll be more versatile.

should I worry about the 8ma current consumption? I'm using a Motu 828 mkII and I have a EH 12AY7 pre.

I'm looking around and I'm seeing this CAD M179... is it much better than the Trion 6000?

Seems to be judging from the specs.

In any case I could really use some opinions here... i wanna purchase these very soon.

Studio Projects B3 vs. CAD Trion 6000

Well... they are about the same price. I need a pair of multi-pattern mics for front-of-kit and other stereo applications. I plan to use them for M/S and Blumlein confirgurations. I know that CAD is a very different company now-a-days... and I hear slightly better than mediocre marks for the SP mics...

I've used my M-160 as an overhead and found similar results.

I plan to continue to use this mic in this app.
