Jose Gonzalez - In Our Nature

I really hate the whole singer/songwriter genre. Some guy and his guitar - blech. It all seems to rehash the same stuff over and over, and it almost seems like someone decided to write some lame poetry, but instead of soiling one genre, he decided to play some guitar while reading and soil two at th...

they all sound exactly the same - use the DAW that you like the best. i'm a fan of tracktion as well, it gets out of the way and lets me focus on music instead of making me fight with an interface that tries to emulate a console.

this may be the link you found, but if not it should be helpful: http://www.eskimo.com/~bgudgel/6000/6000.html i seriously doubt the preamps on this are going to be anything worth writing home about, but for $7 or so per channel, they have to be a good deal. :D if the op-amps are socketed, it couldn...

whoa, i think this may be my favorite one so far. everything feels like it fits together really well. the drums on your tracks always sound very "alive" to me - it seems likes a lot of people (*cough* gearslutz.com *cough*) are always trying to get this really sterile sound out of the kit and end up...

You can get that sound with a spring, and some other verbs layered in... like using a verb that sounds like a chamber, or chambering a spring verb to whatever room is the most live in your setup.... it can be done, and done well. this is an awesome tip in general. i have a cheap old DOD spring reve...

i'm intrigued by the CM3. i've been thinking about picking up an ATM450 or used SM81 for nylon string guitar, but this one looks pretty darn flat and has that all-important exotic quality :P there was a thread on gearslutz a while back where someone was promising to do a shootout between a DAV BG-1 ...

it seemed really cool for about the first 10 seconds, and then i realized how utterly impractical it is. it would definitely be a neat gimmick for some kind of promo, but it wouldn't be at all useful for any actual distribution purposes. 1. the inner part of a record is the worst about exhibiting th...

i don't know that it's really to big a deal any more, but if you split them, generally the swap goes on a disk other than the startup volume.
