hi, I recorded a concert with 4 tracks into ableton live (24bit wav, 44.100) on a macbook. a stupid move made the computer fall down on the floor, it was unresponsive. after a forced restart everythings fine, but the soundfiles won?t open in live. pickup usually sounds like ass, depending on preamp, for precaution I record it as well.

then again read the current tapeop with the interview of dj tricky, where he says he usually records the pickup only.

now I remembered what a luthier once told me.. he said that he doesn?t understand why all this jazz guys keep coming with heavy gauge strings on their double basses, because softer strings often work better for a growly tone with a lot of sustain..
