Re: Ebay...item damaged...help/thoughts
Sorry to hear about your woes BannerJ. I've had very good luck on EBay. One time I complained that a MIDI pedalboard didn't include a wall-wart. Even though none was mentioned in the ad, the seller shipped me one for free. As TubeJay says, politeness is your best tool. Incidentally I've actually had...

Re: Looking for an EMT Plate
Shipping from Toronto to L.A.? Hmmmm.... Maybe the seller knows somebody who knows somebody who could transport it...? I've stumbled across a couple of ads while looking for unrelated stuff. The first one probably won't be useful to you -- in England -- but it looks pretty durned cheap to me... http...

I just bought a bunch of meters from Tungstengruvsten. Great items, great shape and great price! Packing was top-notch too. So buy his stuff. ![thumbs up :^:](./images/smilies/icon_thumbsup.gif)

Re: Audio Technica ATM25
Another longtime lurker / first time reviewer. I know this thread is old but wanted to share my experiences with the ATM25... I started off using ATM25's on toms. Have used it on kick too. In terms of sound I'm not 100% happy with the ATM25 on kick and toms -- it sounds kind of ringy to me, emphasiz...

Re: what y'all tapeopers really need
The console does look big (and beautiful!). But if I had 165 G's to dump into someone else's bank account in 10 days flat I'm not sure I would spend it on this particular sale... Instead I could buy 6 x Daking 16 channel consoles for 150 grand and still have 15K left over for patchbays and control c...

Re: what y'all tapeopers really need
EBay's always over-priced. I got my custom Daking at a garage sale last weekend for only $164,000.
If you know where to look there are always bargains out there.

Re: Need parts to build cables
Thanks for the tip re: Have, Inc., Jonathan. I bought a few (25) Neutrik TRS connectors at Markertek last month and Have's non-bulk prices seem to be a bit better than Markertek's bulk prices. Gone are the days of $1.30 / connector prices at Markertek. I'm considering actually going to my loca...

Re: TT patch cables.
Mr PatchBay sells 'em: http://home.flash.net/~motodata/patchbays/cables.html Local electronics surplus shops are a great resource sometimes. If I had the money ($500) I'd buy the 1930's telephone switchboard from my local surplus store. Mint condition, cables & patchbays look great... Cheers, Johann

Re: FS: tascam da 38's(2) w/remote, custom TT patchbay, Mack
That's an *excellent* deal on the Mackie 24/8 (assuming it comes with PS and is in good working condition?), in case anyone is looking for one. Unfortunately I'm not, but out of curiosity do you have any TT patch cables to sell? Thanks LoudMusic! Cheers, Johann Tienhaara brasstusk@mountaingrouse.com...

Re: WTB: Old Fender amp w/tremolo + reverb
Hi. Just wanted to add my $0.02 -- I have a Dual Showman Reverb head from the early 70's which is cleaner than any tube amp I've ever had the luxury of playing through. It also has both reverb and tremolo. It has 2 channels (1 with rev + trem, 1 without) and 2 inputs on each channel (possibly Hi-Z a...
