That thing is brilliant. I could see hooking it up to the real rig so everyone can get the direct feed into their Ipod. The altecs I have were designed to be mic pres. I am not sure what you would need to get going with your stuff. Sorry i am of no help on that.

My apologies all...I saw the statement with $1000 in it in the initial post and took the ball and ran. If you want to be optimistic, then you could break it down to a per channel cost and that would get you in the ball park. I gotta learn to read better. Sorry guys.

FYI, the Cascade Fathead now has an option of ordering them with a Lundahl transformer. I have been really interested in trying these out.

I think tracking on a high end board is more important than mixing on one. Just my opinion. This way you can take advantage of any sonic characteristcs the console pres may impart.
