Well, I can tell you the Fatheads sound awesome. I have stereo pair and I don't have a clue what the thickness is on the ribbon, nor do I care. My ears like 'em and they work well on many sources.

If you can find the discontinued CAD VX2, buy it. I am saving my dimes for one. I have not read one bad user review anywhere.
