Opeth - Heritage :

Forward thinking and fresh even with its obvious throwback to the great Prog albums of the seventies. Mikael ?kerfeldt is a modern day musical genius.

Check out Teaboy if you haven't already. They have recall sheets for tons of outboard gear and console strips. Has been a lifesaver for me!

Yes Bounce To Disk is one way to do it. Make sure your tracks and time range are selected and that they are all assigned to the same output. You also have the option of choosing where your bounce goes, either back into the sequence as a new track or into the Soundbites window from where you can expo...

How about The Sword and High On Fire, Baroness, Mastodonn ? Nightmares Made Flesh is a great album by Bloodbath. I am also completely entrenched with Opeth.

This gives you one continuo...

To me Fear of a Blank Planet is in a league of its own sonically. It sounds huge, thick, present and clean. Deadwing and In Absentia are equally as powerful but much more squashed dynamically to my ears. FOABP is my go to reference CD for all types of rock, electronica, metal, and soundscapes. I hon...

Well I just bought the Griffin iTalk for my wife for XMAS. It can do 16/44.1 and 8-bit 22k for longer length. Here's from their site "iTalk?s twin built-in mics record directly to your iPod, and adjustable gain settings give you control over the volume. You can even use external microphones with iTa...

If there are 824 users out there who find their speakers too 'smiley,' is anyone using the rear-panel controls to counteract this? just curious. I have my 824's a couple inches from a wall and on Mopad's. So i have the room switch set to the corresponding mode. I can definitely say that the sound i...
