most dither methods actually add distortion. (randimization of lsb). but it's distortion that sounds slightly nicer than quantization noise.

Is it actually clipping the master bus?

Stick a limiter on with a 0 threshold at the very end of your signal chain and see if it occurs.

Yes, any ad/da causes distortion. If you do anything in the digital realm there will be distortion. Keep in mind that in the analog realm there is a lot more distortion... and at a very hearable level. the distortions that occur in the digital realm are minor and generally a matter of feel, not outr...

keep in mind I already answered your question with the absolute optimum solution. That plug does the sine/gate automatically for you.

Also in nuendo it should allow side-chained channel gates. If not I dont see why you are bothering to use it. That's just plain silly.

www.foambymail.com nearly identical to auralex, great fire specs. I have a/b'd it a lot vs auralex and it works a bit better. Similiar cooefficients in the mid range, but they pickup much better deeper down. You can find deals from them on ebay and get well over 200sqft of 4"wedge foam for the price...

www.mda-vst.com, goto effects, get the plugin pack. Use the sub-bass synth. set it to key. set your frequency. Set the threshold and release.

aLL i CAN say is that since moving into the new place we have had 5 police visits. Not a single person has said anything but the police. Petition? Nope. I know all but 3 of the neighbors.

And we have been fined. they just call the police and we get slammed.
