Tie one on for me Mike as I unfortunately can't make the commute. Irish Lion has the best yard of Guiness.

Either that or they're all trying to find tickets to Detroit.

Personally I'm in Fremont, but wherever is cool.

I'll be at the AES meeting tonight (which is at AIS). The topic is Audio for XBox Games and is open to all.

I'll be the geek wearing the Adobe Audition 2.0 shirt and would love to chatter and drink afterwards.

Did they change the interface a lot? I tried it out and they did change the entire UI from Adobe Audition 1.5 (which pretty much had the same look and feel as Cool Edit Pro + features). This is supposed to display phase information -- how, I have no clue, but it sure looks pretty. This was actually...

I'll put in a vote for the Recording program at the Jacobs School of Music: http://www.music.indiana.edu/department/audio/ But, my best advice is to open up the educational directory and start calling the programs. Ask them questions that are important to you and apply to the ones that you think mig...

I used the 24ch Ramsa you mentioned quite a bit for smaller PA systems. It did what I needed, and stood up to the elements quite well. Always had an interesting little "beep" (not bad by anymeans) when the power was shut off before the Amps (ugh).

AES, SMPTE, CAS, MPSE are ones to think of (some have some heafty qualifications however). As for AES, I found the University/Audio Program from which I graduated on their educational list. I landed my internship by contacting a regional AES section (Vienna) president I found my current job on a job...

For anything CEP or Adobe Audition you should check out this forum first:

You'll probably have better luck there.

I believe for Audition 1.5, they directly support the Tascam US428, and US422. Additionally the Mackie Control Surface and Red Rover.

I'm assuming you're having the dropouts during playback. Are you using an ASIO device? If so, what is it's buffer setting? I've recently been doing some fiddling with Sonar 5 Producer edition and noticed that contrary to any logic I know of, really high buffer sizes aren't performing as well as, say...

I'd second Adobe Audition.

I just saw this site http://www.adobe.com/products/bundles/video_bundle.html.

Audition 1.5 was included in the "Video Collection" that is currently out so I don't know if this is indicitave of anything, but it caught my eye.[/url]

I believe the M Box is still supported with the latest Pro Tools releases. The (original) MBox does works just fine with Pro Tools 7.0. However, I doubt that they'll be supporting it for much longer now that they have the MBox2 (I'm predicting a similar fate to the 001). That and their (Digidesign'...
