My room kind of sucks, but with the Rode NT1 I've found that I kind of like using it hung right over the drummers head to get a snapshot of what the drummer hears. I hate my D112 so I've gone to using a C1000 on the kick, a couple of the Oktava MK-012 overhead and a stupid 57 on the snare and seriou...

F/S 1967 Traynor YC-810 "Big B" Bass Cabinet
8 Marsland 8 ohm 10" speakers in a sealed enclosure. 400 watts @ 8 ohms. Obviously I cannot ship this cab so I'm looking for someone in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area. I'm looking to get $400 but will consider reasonable offers. This is one big mean bass cab! Lot's of fun to be in the room with it!

When is the mix done.......A question I ask myself way too much these days. On a recent project with a band that had no experience recording we captured 9 songs, everything live (bleed and all) As I've been mixing I discovered that the number they like the most is the first song I mixed within the f...

Maybe this will help you, I have the same latency problem (Pro tools M powered on a pc using a Delta 1010 for my interface) My solution on the cheap is to send the mix out 1 & 2 (no vox in that mix) and send it to the headphone amp via foldback.....As the vox is coming in (to be recorded) as the sig...

I bought the M-Audio Delta 1010 like 5 years ago because I couldn't afford to get into Pro Tools with an 888 or a 192...the 1010 came bundled with Vegas for like $500... Vegas worked, but I wanted to get into Pro-Tools so when the M-Powered came out it was easy to afford the switch. For the price, I...

Direct Out / Insert Cable?
Anyone happen to know how to make them? I saw them in the AMS catalog on page 17, and at $10 per, I think I'd rather make a few. I just can't think of how they are wired....a little help?

Re: DAT in Minneapolis
I don't have one, but the folks at American Pro Audio can rent you one, and if you get it over the weekend (Friday-Monday) I believe it's only an overnight charge.

Re: Midi on an mbox?
Uhm...now I feel like I may be off topic...but I thought that Pro Tools had a way of calculating latency...maybe not LE, but doesn't HD have the capability?

Re: I need to get some basic recording gear
Heck, your cassette deck records...your VCR records...got a minidisc recorder?....the basics are all around you...get a little mixer, learn signal flow, proper levels and how to overdub using what you have....a little imagination can lead to alot of learning.
