Having said that, the TNC mics had a TNC logo - so while it most likely came off the same assembly line it's probably not an official TNC. Could it be a demo from the ma...

I'd bet anybody who's been given 6 grand to make a record's life DOES revolve around indie music. And that's what we're talking about here.

Nobody here would suggest you can make Thriller for 6 grand.

that one on eBay might not sound like a creamy valve amp, but I have something similar - looks more like Inverse Room's but it's solid state - and it does a great garagey whiney fuzzy Count Five type of guitar sound. and think of other stuff you can run through it - synths, wurlitzer, backing vocals...
