Tiny screws for mk-012?

Hey all. I recently bought a pair of oktava mk-012s on craigslist. They are both missing two of the three screws that hold the body to the xlr connector. Any ideas on where to track down some extra screws? The guy I bought them from said he contacted oktavamod and they weren't helpful. Either becaus...

I had the same confusion a few months back. Had a guy on craigslist selling a used one for $500. I offered him less and linked to a few brand new ones for the same price, and he got awfully defensive. It was weird. Anyway, I went with B&H for $499 and I'm super happy. Jesus, what a microphone.

I think that's a fair price. I went from Rokit 5s to 8s and I thought they were both wonderful. I just recently upgraded to the VXT 8s and they obviously blow the Rokits out of the water, but I certainly spent a lot more money on them. If you were patient enough, you might be able to find a better d...

I'll throw my hat in the ring as well. I met you at Nye's a few years back when a few of us tape-opers got together to chat... Depending on your timeline, I may not be able to help - I recently moved into a new house and the basement studio is still a bit rinky-dink, but we do get results. We use Di...

Awesome indeed. That show was KILLER. there were some dual guitar parts that words cannot describe. where i was at the vocals could have been mixed higher, but i knew most of the songs already. I had to leave before the encore. Did they play an encore and what song was it? Shit yeah they encored. 2...

Talked to Frank a bit. Very nice guy. The new songs are amazing. I am not sure if its on Fate or not but there was one with a long instrumental intro. Can you talk about that one. Which keyboards were used. Also are the vocals usually done in overdubs later or tracked live? ...I'd need some more cl...

DIY Theremin - help/advice

So I just got a second Major Morgan toy (one of the stupidest and coolest instruments ever made) and I want very badly to circuit bend it. I found a blogger who has made a theremin out of one, but he doesn't give out a lot of specifics... http://thehauntedhouse.blogspot.com/2007/03/major-morgan-diy-...

I picked up a Holy Satin pedal recently after someone brought one in on a session. It's been getting a lot of use. I haven't put it side-by-side against a Holy Grail, but hearing this thing flat-out was more exciting to me than any Holy Grail I've ever heard. It could entirely be context, as they p...

I was at the Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis this past summer, and they have a pretty interesting room. It's not spherical - more like a cylinder, maybe 15 or 20 feet in diameter. It was really live and bouncy from any point in the room, but if you stood in the center and talked, it was really dis...

I've got a ThreeQ and I LOVE it. I barely use the EQ, but the compression is really nice. Great on bass, or kick or snare. I've squashed the shit out of a mono overhead with pretty incredible results. I've never used the dmp3, so I can't say how it holds up to that, but I'm really happy with the Mee...
