I don't see what everybody's freaking out about. Sure, the market is down, but $950 is a good price for this kit.
I'd pay a grand for it, esp with cymbals thrown in.

My assistant turned out to be such a solid engineer in his own right that I have now started splitting the money evenly with him and introducing him to clients as "my partner." He's a bit introverted, doesn't care much for interactions with the talent so much, but I have never seen someone solve pro...

Hunting for a Mastering piece- Millennia Media NSEQ-2
I have a friend who is coming back into the country briefly from China and while he's here, he's looking for a used Millennia Media NSEQ-2. Very specifically that piece.
He can PayPal you from Taiwan, you can ship to me- that'll make things a lot easier.

When I finally got my first little Digi002 room set up and was getting ready to do my first big recording project, the owner of the studio said "Find a band you like and offer to make a recording for them for free. It's the best and fastest way to learn and if you do it for free, then if it's not GR...

very good advice from an old mentor: "keep your eye on the ball, not the players." j-no This is such good advice. I gave it such an aggressive thumbs-up that I stuck myself in the eye. (It's still early in my day here...) I have been reading the Tape-Op book on Creative Recording all week- y'know, ...

Oddly, my experience with this is totally polarized: Our studio has had a dozen or more STELLAR interns in the short time I've been there. One guy (Ben, who will be forever nicknamed "The Bentern") was so awesomekillerfantastic that he was given his own key to the studio and all the lock codes afte...

I was a huge, HUGE Sparklehorse fan. I once came through check-in for British Airways a couple of hours behind them flying out of London. I had a couple of guitars and a cymbal bag I was muling for our band, all of whom had flown back separately from me. BA frowns deeply upon extra checked bags and ...

So, I got my "Personalized Eclipsor" recapped and fixed the pins on some of the preamp tubes going into the PCB and it sounds AMAZING. However, the tremolo is not working. My tech says he's not keen on cracking that without a schematic. Anyone? It's the VTG-120, I think- oddly, there's no model numb...

even more from that source: AIMS -> Arizona Instrument and Music Supply (pretty sure, definitely Arizona). So these were made in the west don't have much collector value, but do have tons of headroom as you say. Again, not much information out there, I don't know why. seems like it might be a small ...

Found a little more info on the vintageamps.com board : I know that the company was started by a few dissillusioned Fender techs when CBS bought fender but exactly "HOW" close are the AIMS "twin reverbs" to a real fender twin? Anybody know? seems like it might be a small step towards confirming the ...

what can you tell me about AIMS AMPS?
I am hunting for info on the web about these amps. Here's a thread I started over at Gearslutz and thought I would also start here, in case you fine folks had some thoughts: I can hardly find anything on the web about them, and I would love to start a wikipedia page about these kick ass tube guitar/...

either bob mould keeps the tags on his amps after he buys them, or that picture was taken in a music store, because at least three of the amps look like they have price tags on 'em. A few of my amps still have their price tags on them. 1964 Fender Bandmaster head: $295. 1966 Fender Bassman head: $2...
