I wouldn't recommend trying to mix anything on these. It sounds "wubby"....I don't even know if that's a real word but yeah it sounds like that.

Totally agreed with oudplayer, having an Onyx myself. Yes they are clean pres, but to me they aren't the most "musical". I wouldn't put them in the same class as any of the fancy shmancy pres. Sometimes I'd even rather record with somewhat noisier pres than with the Onyx...like the ones that were on...
