This post serves two purposes: 1. Thanks Gregg, your kind words are not going unrecognized! 2. BUMP! I still have some CDs, and still desire to share this music with others - give it a listen on the bandcamp site listed above, and PM me your address if you'd like a free CD! Or if you prefer, I think...

What I would love to see now is a t-shirt that we can buy that has the LP (scratched or not, I think I'd be impressed either way) as a playable vinyl decal on the front.

You can steal my idea, but you'll have to buy my CD...

Good call, HH, it is indeed in mono! I'll have to rectify that, thanks for pointing it out. I'd hate for people to buy the full download and get the mono version.

GJ, your CD will go in the post tomorrow.

Glad you're all digging it!

Three of the members decided it was time to chase their real careers, which involved moving out of state (one to Denver, the others to DC). We still may work together remotely, as we can, and maybe get back together for some work in the future, but for now, indefinite hiatus. PM me an address, I'll ...

Thanks for listening, Gregg! You pretty much nailed the source of the vibe. I'm 50, while the rest of the band is all half my age, so I tried to bring the 60's Pink Floyd-ish sound to the stuff that was all generally inspired by the more recent ambient rock stuff that's out there now. I think that m...

...and maybe if I add a comment, it will look like others are listening, which might prompt someone else to listen and comment?

I'd really love to hear what you think of this!

My Turn...

Finished my first full-length CD earlier this year, played our CD release party /farewell show right afterwards, but still like this album an awful lot. Recorded in my basement studio, using Cubase 6, UAD plugins, MOTU interfaces, and a few 'nothing special' microphones. Mastered at Glenn Brown Prod...

A lot of my stuff starts with an acoustic guitar track , either strummed or arpeggiating through chords; my favorite click to this point has been a ride cymbal on the 8th notes, usually a looped pattern rather than using it as the metronome sound, so there's a bit of a groove due to the velocity in ...

Not the same thing, but something equally as odd; my mobile phone would completely drop its voice/text signal (but not it's data signal) when I got a new PC laptop (not Macbook), and hooked up my DVI display with a DisplayPort-DVI cord. When I plugged anything that was plugged into the laptop in to ...

I'm not sure if you just caught me in the right mood or what, but I'm enjoying this. I love the space this sits in, and while I'm not listening in the most optimum of environments at the moment, it all seems to go together very well; nice mix, groovy spacious tones, cool arrangements, yeah! Oh, and ...

My niece the other day noted that 'being able to play Guitar Hero doesn't mean you can play guitar'. I recently had the embarassing opportunity to show my son and a number of his friends that the converse is also painfully true...

Well, I've no legal opinion, but there a few things I might consider outside of that realm. First, does their region (read: fan base) cross over into yours? I might assume that you will start off similarly, and that fans in your region will likely not be aware of the other band, and vice versa, and ...

I used a 238S for a couple of years, and rather liked it; never had a failure, but I'm not sure I used it quite as much as I could have. Unfortunately (for you, sorry), I've already done what vvv is threatening to do; dumped to DAW, and then sold. Otherwise, you could have probably had it for less t...

Nice one! I thought the solo worked out really well - I'm lucky to get a good solo out of 3 hours of recording forwards, never mind backwards. It took me a minute to get used to the space around the drums, but I think I like it; I'm sure my computer speakers are lying to me, I'll give it a listen on...

Interesting indeed - if I were a younger man, and could lay my hands on some mind-altering fungii, I might apply, Heck, this guy could probably provide the latter!

Anyone else care to offer an opinion? I'd love to hear some objective views on mix, quality, tone, etc...
