What exactly?

So what exactly do you mean? Excuse my naivety but are they two channels the whole channel strip from the console, or just parts? Basically, Is it a plug and play situation, or do I have to buy other things to get these to work? Im just looking for some good pre/eq's and I heard that these kick. Ple...

today in hightstown, nj there was a townwide yard sale... picked up a bunch of room dividers and sound panels from a church, as well as this sucker. i made a killing. any way, this is an old bed spring sort of thing, but is a complete frame, tensioned with a ton of springs. when you slap it vibrates...

I just picked up a revox a700 from a cassette duplication studio in PA for a couple hundred, anyhow, it has a setting called MP ECHO, which i guess feedbacks the repro to the sync for that "spin" echo> i've just started using it, all i wish now is for the remote control so i could get varispeed, now...

FS: Guyatone FR3000V Tube Reverb

thought i'd try to hit the tape op guys before i put this up on ebay. you can google it for extra info. Made in Japan, comes with box, manual. bass and treble controls as well as NOS tubes make this a much more versatile tube spring reverb than the standard modern fender reissues. it also looks like...

A 70's/Silverface Fender Champ might be worth considering... I think they are 5 or 6 watts. They can get a little loud depending on the speaker, but mine's been a great recording amp so far. They can be found for well under $500, which will give you enough room to get a new speaker & a cap job. i s...

Re: Korg poly 800

Any Tapeopers use this synth? (now or in the past?) I am wondering how its pad sounds are? Any input would be greatly appreciated. -Brian i used one of its presets to do the synth line from Ray Parker's "Ghostbusters" for a halloween show. it nailed it. modulation and everything. plus i had strapkn...

Re: Mixing Reel to Reels (Fostex-R8 opinons)?

I've been looking for a reel to reel machine, specifically a Tascam 388 because it has a built-in mixer, but the chances of finding one close to me (cincinnati) are slim. There is a Fostex-R8 for sale in Cleveland that looks promising, but since I've never used reel to reels, I have a few general q...

Re: Hammond power switch pitch bend

I turned my organ off last night while my hands were still on the keys. holy balls! what an amazing sound! Not knowing much (I just got it last week), I'm guessing the pitch bend is from the tonewheels slowing down. The bend up when turning it back on is even cooler. Is it safe to do this? I'd like...

Play with EQ in and out for kooky flavors, or run the output into a single tap delay on a long setting for that "mountain crag" echo/verb effect. Go nuts...it's just a reverb... the guyatone reverb just came in today. its got individual bass and treble controls for the decay which is definitely goi...

outboard tube reverb uses

anyone try using old style fender tube reverbs on things besides guitars? i'm just picking up a guyatone FR3000v which has more decay options than the old style fenders, but i wanted to get some random non-digital reverb tones on vox/maybe underwater snare/hi-hat? any opinions? thanks
