I own a couple of them but don't have the actual schemo. I do remember Fletcher at Mercenary Audio having an SC50. He would most likely know where to find paper. Contact him at questions@mercenary.com . Be polite and play dumb. He can be a sweetheart or a devil, depending on whether he's been proper...

14' is really too short to be chopping up. Gotta agree with the 1/4" TRS patchbay. For running out of the PB, 1/4" TRS snakes are available cheap in Ebay stores. You could probably do the whole deal for well under $200, and have a nice neat way to insert stuff.

There is a D-Sub, but you're probably referring to the long (inputs?) strip next to it. If desperate, you could probably fudge using something like this http://mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=158-P02ELK508V12-E . They're pinned for circuit board mount and come in various pitches. Good luck. Be...

Patrick, there really isn't any bias adjustment for that amp, and it shouldn't need it if you use a couple of matched 7591 output tubes. If you use non-OEM types other than the 7591, rebias may be necessary, but is not advised for DIY. With these old amps, the best starting point is a cap replacemen...

Take a piture and post it. Also take some rough physical measurments. If you mean the multipin jobs on each channel, they look like standard miniature D-sub connectors, but I couldn't zoom in close enough to tell http://www.jblpro.com/pub/obsolete/7510b.pdf . An e-note to JBL might be quicker. Best,...

Hardwired vs. external wires. I think I know which option is gonna hold up better.

Wow, I completely missed the ground connection. Thanks. That's quite different from the input on the 122.

Hey Nate. I don't follow. The balanced input on both models floats across the 10K volume pot. How would that be wired so that the pot still works? I'm looking at this schemo http://www.captain-foldback.com/Leslie_ ... cs/125.GIF .

Unless I'm missing something, the motor relay in the 122(DC) is different from the 125(AC line voltage). Seems with the 125 a simple on/off switch is all that's needed to engage the relay at pins 2 and 5. No tube to turn on/off. Use the amp's existing components for relay time delay at turn on. Gett...

Well, it is a distortion pedal after all. Are there not user adjustments that'll get rid of some of the distortion? Not clear on what you expect from this pedal. What exactly are you looking for? Different flavors of 12A tubes will definately affect the sound.

Wow.. some great suggestions. I'm consideing the F/F circuit on the left because it includes on/off LEDS, which are a must. A quick question. In figure 2, how does a relay wire in? Would I simply replace the left resistor with the same value resistor as the coil, and replace the right resistor with ...

Need info on a GTO(semiconductor, not the car!)

Here's the project. I need to turn on/off a small 12 VDC relay using a single, DP pushbutton switch. I have + and - 12 VDC available and thought about using a thyristor(SCR) to switch the relay, as it has to remain on after + gating is removed. Unfortunatelly there's really no convenient way to turn...
