Mastering is crucial to the recording process. Won't sugar coat a turd of a recording but will definitley make a good band's good recording sound totally great.

yeah I'm totally considering buying or trading something for my buddy's rig(the peavy amp, and an identical ibanez guitar) so that I can have it froever as my secret weapon/old standby guitar sound.
