mixing on an HD system

So, I'm really excited because next week I get to mix an album on an HD system. All my experience has been with LE, and mix systems, so I was wondering what could I expect to be that much different?

i got my business license for 2004 and will see how my taxes come out this year. I have a giant envelope of reciepts. The biggest bummer is paying someone so much to do your taxes. But for the peace of mind i'm not going to skimp.

can someone help me with my frozen ipod?

i have one of the 5 gig ipods and it's been fine for years but as of a few days ago it started to flash the apple sign and when I try and push the menu and play buttons to reset it or whatever it gives me the battery icon. i dunno. the battery is fine, i just took it ona trip and it played for hours...

my song that i posted the link to on the mp3 page has 12 rhythm guitar tracks playing the same riff all the way through. that's not including the noodling and the leads which were all only doubled. I was going for a MBV sound. listen to it and tell me what you think.

issues with bouncing down in protools and volume level

is there a way to make songs as loud as a mastered CD when boucing down in protools? I have a mac g4 and the digi001, and forgive me for not having such a pro set-up, but i use itunes to burn cd's. Any suggestions?

I had a mackie 1202 with my first four track, and i used it to submix the drum mic's and any multiple mic'ing I had going the same tracks. it helped and stuff.

i shared a tiny one bedroom apartment with my 2 bandmates for 2+ years where i slept on the floor of the living room throughout the entire stay. All my belongings consisted of my instruments, CD's, and clothes. After being in SF for almost 4 years i will be homeless again as of this weekend and agai...

the VU meter shows signal going to channel one, BUT where do you have that signal routed?

AND, is there anyway of monitoring the actual signal going to tape, i.e. stereo buss meter?

the kick sounds really powerful. how did did you do it? um, i used a beyer m88 inside just off center, a little more than half way in. plus the drummer is pretty consistent. one of the most consistent hitters i've had the privilage of recording.
