Recording school is an easy out, people with true passion for audio will educate themselves and take it upon themselves to make the introductions they need. With such a high supply of people who desire to enter the world of professional audio, you have to distinguish yourself somehow, and schools a...

If you're running your studio services like a business and not a hobby, you need to keep that in mind. Be fair, but to yourself as well as the client. Roger Thanks Roger, that's good advice. I think I do my best work most of the time when I'm having fun, and when I record my music, I want everyone ...

Re: Should I go to recording school?
I went to a school and I'm glad I did. It's not for everyone, but school is what I needed. I learned a lot. I got a good internship at a major studio in NYC. The ADA8000 is pretty awesome for what it is. It's even better when you consider the price but I don't know if I'd bother modding it. When I got mine I was looking for a cheap way to get more channels into my 002 rack and it's worked great. I do mobile recording and I always need as many channels a...

?ADA8000 Mod?
I've heard of people modifying a Behringer ADA8000 8-channel ADAT mic-pre because the AD converter is decent. Has anyone done this?
Thanks
